Summary:
Prior to DHPC’s involvement, the client had struggled to secure planning permission for the redevelopment of the site as the Local Planning Authority wanted to retain the building due to historical preference. Asked how to secure permission, DHPC first applied for a Prior Approval Notice to demolish the building under the Planning Act which was approved. DHPC then applied for a Planning Permission in Principle (sort of Outline application but quicker) and secured consent for 7 houses.
