The scheme sought the demolition of a dwelling in Christchurch, and the erection of 4no. large family houses with garaging and car parking. The scheme was based on a previous decision which has now lapsed so Darryl and the architect Robert Rodway took an opportunity to enhance the dwellings, making them more desirable and larger. The site is positioned adjacent to a conservation area so Darryl needed to prepare heritage arguments as the scheme affecting the setting. The planning officer agreed with Darryl’s planning arguments and approved the scheme under delegated powers.
