DHPC was instructed to prepare and justify the conversion of a detached garage to a dwelling positioned in the Green Belt. Usually Green Belt policy seeks to prevent new housing in designated areas, however Darryl used his extensive knowledge and evidence base of planning arguments, to persuade the planning officer otherwise. The scheme was supported through the Council’s delegated powers and approved quickly.
