Summary:

DHPC was instructed by the client to work with Asplan Associates to prepare a planning application for 2no. schemes. The first was for commercial and residential; the second being wholly residential. Both schemes have been approved (the residential scheme shall be reported later). Working proactively with the planning officer Darryl was able to negotiate the design of the building to be contemporary despite the surrounding context being significantly older. Amendments to the scheme were needed to address a concern of overlooking to a neighbouring property, however subject to minor modifications the planning application received the full support of the officer and was approved quickly.
