DHPC was instructed to submit and manage a planning application to sever land and erect a detached family dwelling. The site was positioned adjacent to the Ashley Cross Conservation Area, so consideration and justification of the scheme in the setting of the heritage asset was needed.

Based on years of planning experience, DHPC actively discussed the scheme with the architect before submission to resolve any design concerns likely to arise, so wasted time and cost to the client were avoided. The application was submitted, registered, then ‘sailed through’ the planning process with no negotiation with the planning officer, subsequently being approved by the planning officer.
