DHPC were instructed to prepare the planning application and provide evidence and planning arguments to justify the erection of these 2 contemporary house in a street of 2 storey traditional hipped roof dwellings. Using sound understanding of planning policies, DHPC convinced the planning officer that the scheme complied with policies, and that a decision could be issued under delegated powers.
Based on years of planning experience, DHPC actively discussed the scheme with the architect before submission to resolve any design concerns likely to arise, so wasted time and cost to the client were avoided. The application was submitted, registered, then ‘sailed through’ the planning process with no negotiation with the planning officer, subsequently being approved by the planning officer.
